Scouts can offer their friends and family a discounted rate on their electric supply service.  Currently many of Connecticut’s electric customers are paying some of the nation`s highest rates for electricity.  At Verde Energy USA, we can provide service for $0.0989 per kWh (vs. CL&P rate of $0.11051).  That is about a 10% discount on the supply portion of your electric bill.

2. Same Service

Your utility company (CL&P or UI) will continue to service your lines, respond to power outages, and send out monthly bills.  Verde Energy USA will be listed as the supplier, and the new lower rate will appear in the Supplier / Generation portion of the bill.

3. Cash for Cubs

Verde Energy USA’s GSC rate is $0.0989 per kWh as of August 2010 (same since October 2009). Please check your current bill to determine what you are currently paying for generation or supplier’s services.

Is your GSC rate per kWh all-inclusive?

Yes, our GSC rate is all-inclusive and there are no hidden activation or termination fees.

How does your GSC rate per kWh compare to the GSC rate I am paying CL&P or UI?

Again, Verde Energy USA’s GSC rate is $0.0989 per kWh as of August 2010, please check your current bill to determine what you are currently paying for generation or suppliers services.

Is your GSC rate fixed or variable?

 Verde Energy USA’s GSC rate is $0.0989 per kWh as of August 2010.  This is a monthly variable rate.

Do I have to sign a contract or other agreement?

No.

How long does it take to switch my electric supplier?

After you are enrolled with Verde Energy USA, your utility will need to read your meter and bill you at your old rate one last time before your service is switched.  This can take up to 30 days.  After that you will be charged at the new Verde Energy USA rate, and you will see that rate on your following bill.

Is a security deposit, enrollment or other similar fee required?

No.  Verde Energy USA does not charge a security deposit.

Is there a credit check, late payment fee or other similar fee assessed?

No.  Verde Energy USA does not charge late payment fees or conduct credit checks.
